ALBUMS ON REPEAT
A Seat At The Table | Growing Over Life | It Was Written |
***** Great piece of work! The messages are so relevant to the problems black people still face with acceptance and empowerment in the western world. The added interludes also work so well to make the album flow so seamlessly and tell an engaging (non-fictional) story. Stand out tracks: Weary Interlude: Tina Taught me, Don't Touch My Hair F.U.B.U Where Do We Go | **** This warm coming of age album would make the grumpiest of people appreciate the 'little things' and have a positive outlook on the journey and happenings of life. Also, as an easy going, young, black British adult, I found it very easy to relate to the concepts in the songs. Stand out tracks: Antwi Cooked Food All A dream Church | **** I love Nas (my favourite rapper) and I revisit this album most Monday mornings when autumn/winter periods start. Why you ask? I find that wakes me up in the dull weather and makes me feel a bit tougher and ready to face the week with a resilient attitude. Stand out tracks: Album Intro Take It In Blood Black Girl Lost Street Dreams I gave you Power |
